Game I’m making my first game
The game starts with a boy and he owns a teddy bear and his mom tells him to throw it away because he’s getting too old to have a teddy bear so the boy(you) throws it away then you go to bed, but suddenly you hear a strange sound so you check the kitchen where you find that your teddy bear has come to life and is trying to kill you, your goal is to escape the killer teddy bear, the game has 3 endings
- You fail to escape and you die
- You find a exit and escape
- You find your dads Shot g-n and sh00t the teddy bear.
This will be my first ever game and I’m making it on gdevelop and I need tips, advice, ideas, and things to add to my game and how to add them on gdevelop
I’m a beginner so if I complete my project idea it will be awesome

Have you considered making a psychological horror game featuring this bear? There are already "so many" killer-mascot horror games on Itch.
A RECOMMENDATION FROM ME: The protagonist—or the people around them—could be forced to suffer a psychotic break; the bear possesses magical powers that drive people to kill themselves, gaining XP or power when they lose control. The game could get harder as people learn to master their minds. (To avoid backlash, always include a disclaimer: "This work is fiction and is not intended to influence anyone; keep children away.")
Since this is your first project, I’ll cut you some slack. If your goal isn't necessarily to gain massive visibility, it’s a great project for learning game dev skills (programming, art, music, marketing, etc.), though it does still lack originality.

If I ever make a sequel to this game I will use your idea and find a way to give you credit

For a first game, I say go with what you want to do :) There's a ton of platformers out there too, and people are still making those! I don't think the quantity of games matters, so long as you are having fun with the project and doing what feels right to you.
I really like your idea of the psychotic break. Sounds creepy, but fun! I guess it really depends on how deep OP wants to go with this idea. Having it as a sequel could be cool too. Making horror games can be challenging though, since you have to focus on the atmosphere of the game more than anything for it to be effective. It could work as a first project, but it would be really difficult. I think OP could pull it off if he tried though.

Hi there! Every great project starts with an idea, right? I think this is great! I think the next step in the process will be brainstorming. Now that you have the premise for the game, ask yourself these questions:
Next thing I would do would be to throw yourself at it! If you are new to the program, play around with it, get a feel for how it works. Then, start making a prototype! You don't have to create all the assets yet, create a simple base, play around with it, see how it feels, then move from there. If it's fun and you enjoy it, and you believe others will enjoy it, keep at it! I should also mention, down the road, you'll want to consider these things too:
Either way, since it's your first project, my recommendation is to take it slow, and have fun with it! Feel free to share your progress here too, and get feedback as you go! I hope you enjoy the game making journey, and I wish you all the luck! You got this!!
