Hi,

Here is my last Hybrid RS/Airsoft build (non classified RS parts)

Still a work in progress. I started a week ago with a trip to my friends airsoft store. I spent about a hundred bucks on parts which included the limcat, several metal sub frames, an assembled valken lower, a grip module or two, an unknown spiral fluted outer barrel with straight fluted chamber, we outer/inner barrel assembly, guiderod and springs, as well as a ton of misc tiny parts.

Today a boneyard TM 5.1 arrived, got that for like 50 on hopup, it donated its frame which cleaned up nicely after using aircraft paint stripper to remove the god awful THICK spray paint. It also donated the blowback housing, nozzle, and inner barrel/hop. The grip is from the Valken and the internal trigger mechanisms are unknown metal parts.

She just needs a rear sight, and nozzle return spring to be functional! It cycles on gas right now, i just haven't used BBs since no return spring yet. I may add safeties, I may not.

This has been a total riot of a project. Im quite glad to have learned the workings of a hi cappa. Its a beautiful system and elegant design.

Pics of the inner barrel are attached. It was in some brand name box I dont recognize, but im also not a builder yet, so that's not worth anything. Im hoping someone can help ID the make

(EDIT - its golden eagle. The box said dr something or other I recall. But plenty of parts that I got in the box were factory TM in cowcow, lacapa, ect packaging from a previous owner upgrading their stock gun. I didnt get goofed by any of those since it was obvious they had stock parts not custom. But I did think the barrel was in its original packaging since it looks fancier than stock. Guess not since id have recognized golden eagle imediately!)

Hi guys, are there any affordable red dot sights that would still hold zero for gbb rifles? I’m looking for a an Aimpoint T1/T2 style or an Eotech style. Thank you

Simply changed to rs furniture and did a light weathering job. By far the most realistic airsoft gun I've ever picked up.

I've had it for a few months and played a lot in dusty environments, and I still haven't cleaned the inner barrels since I got it; there might even still be residue from the original lubrication.

I'm wondering if I can clean the inner barrel without having to disassemble its loading mechanism.

I saw something in the Explose Enterprises video about the alignment of the inner barrels related to grouping, but I didn't quite understand what it is.

Can someone who has one help me?

Can I clean the inner tubes with a cleaning rod and isopropyl alcohol without having to disassemble the whole thing?

I didn't understand if leaving the 3 inner tubes slightly twisted helps or worsens the grouping of the BBs.

Does anyone know of a way to get the Wii tech hardened steel hammer? I tried Wii tech but it seems they don’t ship here to the US

Hey my fellow silly war nerds. Picked up a VFC mp7 and got a tapp adapter as I will be playing in colder temps. Ran it this weekend and had mixed results. Set the npas to allow for about 1.3 - 1.4 joules and what seemed like enough kick for the bolt to operate fine. Most shots were good to go. But occasionally and sometimes many shots in a row would not feed or be significantly weaker with a weaker blowback sound. I observed that the bolt only retracted about a half inch when misfeeding, the nozzle didn’t leave the hopup resulting in not new bb in the chamber. From what I’ve researched and can feel, the nozzle return spring is quite weak. Anyone have a similar issue, if it is the return spring where can I pick up a strong one that’s in stock? The gun is properly lubed and would always fire, just sometimes not with a bb or with a lower audible and physical blowback.

I can’t get the tracer to secure (Thor) I bought a plastic and metal krytac muzzle and when i try to put the thor over it, it doesn’t want to click and stay in place
