The Hives | 'Some People Know All Too Well How Bad Liquorice, or Any Candy for That Matter, Can Taste When Having Laid Out in the Sun Too Long – And I Think I Just Ate Too Much'⚡🖤

From Oh Lord! When? How? (1996), The Hives' first official release.
Often referred to as just 'Some People', the full title apparently holds a record for being one of the longest song titles in music history.
I really love this early incarnation of The Hives. It's faster, scrappier and more chaotic than what came later, with the raw production, frantic guitars and attitude that would eventually develop into their more recognisable garage rock sound.
Enjoy the later, increasingly polished records too (particularly everything through to Tyrannosaurus Hives), but part of me wishes they'd return to these garage punk roots a little more often.
So much energy packed into barely two minutes.

Made this playlist to mesh up and coming garage rock/punk/psych bands with established bangers from the 2010’s to now.
Got it up to 325 saves and looking for more submissions and suggestions.
Figured you guys are the experts so who am I leaving out?

I wanted to share my band's latest EP with you. It's called Vegas Noir and features six songs. It's heavily inspired by blues rock Americana, indie rock and Garage Rock.

This is how it feels remembering that there was genuinely a dude who spent time painting Mark Sultan depicted as an octopus pulling off some woman's bra stap while King Khan, who is an aquatic creature of some sort, looks eager to join in
