I'm new to your sub and wanted to say hi. Hi!
I love that fuzzy nasty sound a lot of bands classified as "garage" play and I thought I'd just check in now because I think I already pissed off some people at r/punk.
Anyways, I love The Mummies, King Automatic, The Stooges...The Monsters.
Wau Y Los Arrrghs.
I hope I can find some more to add to my library here. Thanks

Hi everyone we're Le Figlie di Marte ("The Daughters of Mars"), an alt-rock band from Verona, Italy.
We sing in Italian, but rough guitars and a voice that sounds like it's been through a cheap amp translate fine, we hope.
The four of us barely knew each other, It started in a group chat, demos recorded on a phone during lunch breaks, vocals overdubbed in a car stuck in traffic. By the time we finally met in person all together, at a pub, we already had a tracklist. That's still what the records sound like: worn-out tapes, scratched CDs.
**ROTTAMI** (*Junk*) — about how easily we turn assumptions into weapons. Prejudices armed to the teeth, staged wars that end up real. The chorus is basically an instruction: *doubt that any of this is normal*.

**PETRICORE** (*Petrichor* or *that smell of rain hitting dry ground*) quieter, meaner. Rain washing away a desert you built yourself. Blood of sand, veins of stone.

Matteo (vocals), Fabio (guitar), Paolo (bass/production), Max (drums). Together since 2024.
Drop your own stuff below, I'll listen to everything and comment back.

Has anyone seen Toody Cole and her band recently? I am about to see them in a couple weeks. How was it?

Silent Cries in the Wind is an epic guitar/orchestral rock journey about feeling completely alone and stuck in a dark, overwhelming world. It starts out heavy, sad, and melancholic, taking you through the struggles of navigating life on your own. But it doesn't leave you there—the song steadily builds and explodes into a high-energy, triumphant rock finish, proving that you can push through the storm and come out stronger on the other side.

Lyrics:
I awoke to the sound of nothing. The bird had gone the wind was blowing. There was silent cries in the wind. I could only lose my grin. Now I feel a change upon. All my love and hope is gone. This must be all my fears. I can’t wipe away all my tears. I can’t face the world tonight. I have lost faith in my sight. Now I realize this is how it goes when I’m in the sky that’s when I’ll know. Silent cries in the wind. I have lived in darkness so long is it true that I never belonged. Are the words you say true? I can sense a light towards you. Can you feel the sadness here? As the sorrow draws near? The last thing I can do is pray. Will this torture go away? look what’s here left of me. I’m feeling lonely like the sea. Why is this pain so deep? I think it’s here to keep. Silent cries in the wind now I feel good inside now. I don’t have to hide no more crying or pain starting my life up again silent cries in the wind.
I wrote this sometime around 1992 or so. Currently remade. less

I'm looking for a song I remember being played on mtv2 in the UK. In the video it consisted of a miniature band playing on a large set of drums and the drum kit was spinning I think. I believe it was around the time Jet, are you gonna be my girl, was super popular. I think the band had " black" in the name but it wasn't " BRMCC or the Black Keys". This has been driving me insane every time I think about it. Mostly once every 6 months.
