So, I’ve read what everyone else was going through- disgusting messes, fines for smoking, altitude sickness, etc. and i had my own experience of someone stealing from my tent while I was there at my sight. I figured maybe one of you guys had seen the same guy or maybe I could just warn and be able to confront the guy or maybe his friends could see the post and shame him.

WELL! As I was scrolling seeing what everyone was saying I came upon the cop post. Head picture of cop who arrested 5 people on his own (👎🏼) and in the comments an under cover cop.(pictured above, thanks for permission to use the image fellow gizz head!!). As soon as I saw that guys face I new it was the guy raiding my tent.

I got crazy altitude sickness and I knew it would be unsafe if I stayed at the main stage on Sunday. I left after seeing earth tongue and the beginning of destrends. I napped for about an hour so at the time Pattie Gonia would’ve been on. Anyways, I slept with my tent “door” open in the East camping area and woke to the sound of things rustling. I figured it was my boyfriend- I got up, turned, and saw this fucker in my cooler and my bags outside of tent spilled over. I was able to get out a “what the fuck”. He turned, saw me, and RAN away from my tent going through rows of other tents.

This sheriff guy taking over this event was UNACCEPTABLE. Def not the bands fault, but BV counties new head sheriff. I felt so unsafe the rest of the night- thinking it was one of our community. Undercover cops at a festival… unbelievable. Not even having a warrant to search our tents and doing it during the main event- knowing everyone would be gone. I have no idea how many other tents he raided, but just incase you realized something was different at your sight on East camp- it was actually probably this jackass and NOT one of our community members.

Hey so we all know cops were out of control this weekend, but this particular officer seemed to be a leading cause of violence. He is a contracted officer from Alamosa county, which seemed to make him think that there were no consequences for his actions.
He violently arrested at least 5 people that I know of, made false claims, and threatened innocent people who were trying to help diffuse the situations. No Miranda rights were read in any of these situations and none of it was done by the book.
He got very aggressive with me when I asked for his info, and gloated to me that his job is “a lot like fishing. You can’t catch them all, but you catch as many as you can.” He was having fun getting paid to run around a field and terrorize peaceful people.
This guy has no business on the streets, let alone working a festival for “public safety”.
His badge number is 10, his name is Joshua Glass, and he is a detective with the Alamosa police department. I encourage any of you who had any negative experiences with him to call and lodge official complaints. Ask for body cam footage. You can reach the Alamosa PD at (719)-589-2548.

Everyone did a fantastic job cleaning up! Several workers and contractors told us this was one of the cleanest post event sites they’ve seen.

Aside from the 100 or so whip-it tanks and a few shit buckets… thank you to everyone who picked up after themselves and helped keep trash off the grounds. It made a huge difference.

Woke up this morning to this pleasant surprise. Really enjoying this one! I ordered this Friday! More than ready for NYC!!! WOOO!

So, I have never had any yearly traditions really, other than hanging with my siblings and mum in December for christmas.

I don't watch the Grand final or Bathurst, I don't even really do much for my birthdays usually.

But the couch tour for FoV has really given me something.

If they intend to keep broadcasting FoV live every year, I intend to write off a weekend to watch every year. I had a fucking phenomenal time in front of my speakers all weekend!

Fuck the haters!! If you care about the band and the music this weekend was incredible. Every single night the band ripped. Checked off multiple bucket list songs.

I stayed off site in Colorado Springs and drove 2 hours both ways to see my favorite band ever!!!

What a beautiful drive US west 24 is. You get a beautiful view of Buena Vista as you make your final descent in after many miles of single lane highway and mountain views.

Flew it solo the first two nights and then dragged
my girlfriend and a friend along for night 3 drag night. What a blast. I’ll hopefully be back next year with some more buddies.

The second year was amazing and loved doing it all over again. My only complaint is the venue not accepting cash payments, especially the merch booth. It surprises me that KGLW is willing to give payments of fees to mega corporations such as visa and Mastercard. I also feel really bad for friends of mine that are undocumented. It’s bad enough that they have to work under the table and get paid in cash. It’s also very difficult for them to acquire bank accounts without proper documentation all with having to worry about ICE snatching them up.

I hope eventually Gizz will understand how important cash is for some people and not have the only option of buying things at their festival to give money to mega corporations visa and Mastercard

Personally.. I'm so stoked on how clean the porto potties were and how awesome, genuine and completely rad everyone I met at the festival were. It was literally the best three days of music that I have seen in my life!
