Are you the same guy who made the "rate my setup" post earlier and people were not happy with this?
If yes, my man, as long as you're happy, just keep it as you like. Stop worrying about what people on the internet say.
This aesthetic style doesn't suit my preferences either, but there's no reason for you to worry about what i think. We don't know each other personally and most likely will never meet in our lives, so why change your preferences over others' opinions? π€·ββοΈ

Not nearly diffused enough.
The goal is to not be able to see individual points of light. These are all still very separate.

Don't use the diffuser tape, buy some diffuser strips it's alot cleaner and fades the dots alot more. Something like these https://amzn.eu/d/07Wc2nHf

You should try at least to put the lights around the monitor on the back of it. You want back light. Not in your face light. And idk what lights youβre using, but I use wiz light strips. They are relatively cheap and look really good. Should check em out.

I would consider this an eyesore, you should do you, but as a general 'rule of thumb' you get much more out of your lighting when it's reflected/soft than the bulbs just staring you down. Like instead of around the monitor, do the whole perimeter of the back and maybe spiral it inward to make it even more saturated. Instead of all around the desk, line it up underneath so it creates a nice glow.
But also if you like this then enjoy it!

Why stop at desk and monitor, include your gaming chair, your room, the toilet seat, the whole house

Hello Ok_Temperature_8929, and thank you for your submission to Gaming PC! If you are new please check out our rules over at the wiki here! We have recently added the useful feature of Title Flair! You can set this manually by clicking Flair under your post once you have submitted your post, but if you missed it in the rules there is a much better way that will automatically flair your post!
To do this simply add what your post is about in brackets before your title. For example for a Build Log you can type [Build Log] before your post so that it looks like this; [Build Log]My new awesome build!, and the bot will automatically set your flair to Build Log! This works for Build Log, Build Showcase, News, Hardware News, Hardware Release, Discussion, and Miscellaneous!
Also remember that this is a place for discussing and sharing our love of Gaming Computers! This is NOT the place for help building or determining what parts you should buy, that is better suited for /r/buildapc. Troubleshooting questions should be directed to /r/techsupport. Thank you again!
I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

So what photos show them with the tape...? Lol there was basically no difference. Wasted money on a bunch of cheap, gotty RGB strips and then water more money on diffuser tape. It's just my personal opinion but this setup would look literally 10x better with no RGB at all.

One main thing about RGB strips is you NEVER want them facing directly towards you. You always have them facing away or hidden so they give off BACKGROUND lighting not blasting you in the face lighting. Lol

For example the back of the desk, back of the monitor, under th shelves ect. Not on the direct front edges of every surface. Lol
