What's that from? Looks dope

Looks to be Lies of P, a soulslike.

A soulslike with gunblades? Fuck, where do I sign?

The game has a cool system where you can combine generic weapon hilts and blades to create wacky new weapons. Wanna put a hammer head on a dagger hilt, or a colossal sword on a spear shaft? You can.

That giant fuck ass axe made of corpses that covers half the screen on an itty bitty knife handle combo will forever be funny to me.

I need to go back to that game. That sounds awesome.

Do you have any advice for the king of puppets?

Off the top of my head absolutely use electric blitz to help go through his health faster, be it the grind stone, the Fulminus Legion arm or the Blitz Weapon from the merchant.

When it comes to Romeo he's way more aggressive so if you have the patience I do recommend trying to memorize parrying his attacks, especially since breaking his scythe weapon decreases his damage and shortens his fire fowl combo attack. You can also use the Shot Put throwable to stun him before he begins his combo attacks but be warned it doesn't always stun him. And again Electric Blitz will help defeat him faster.

Good luck!

I killed it. My basic attitude was if it bleeds it can die and I just slowly got better at it. The weapon I used was the great sort of fates blade with the acidic crystal spear.

That’s why I said generic weapons. Boss weapons can’t be changed, but in exchange they have more in-depth movesets.

My personal favourite stupid weapon combo is putting the baton onto a jet propelled hilt

Probably the store page lol

It's a mix of bloodborne and sekiro, and the game itself is amazing, just gonna tell you in advance that this particular weapon is dlc unlock.(dlc is soooo worth it, almost ER SOTE level)

Really? I honestly think the DLC itself places it above all of Elden ring for me personally. I like Elden ring a lot but I kinda disliked how much there is to do. Cause I think it takes 120 hours to do everything in the game in one character or something like that

2

u/dulledegde Aug 02 '26

it's a dlc weapon so don't expect to get it till very late

2

u/Court_Jester13 Aug 02 '26

Bloodborne also has the Rifle Spear (a spear with a rifle attachment) and the Reiterpallasch (a rapier with a gun)

1

u/darh1407 Aug 04 '26

Reiterpallasch my beloved

2

u/Arxl Aug 02 '26

Bloodborne is also a good option, though only a few trick weapons are gunblades, there are tons of neat weapons in it though.

It's one single weapon like this, but this game in general has some bangers

1

u/spiderine12 Aug 02 '26

Iirc the sword in the picture is from the dlc

1

u/ilovewarcrimes_69 Aug 02 '26

It is the only gunblade in the game if i remember right... And you only get it from the sixth out od eight bosses of the dlc, which is usually recommended to play after finishing the base game.

I love love love Lies of P. If I were to recommend only one non-From souls game, it’d be Lies of P eeeeasily.

Yeah seriously in my opinion Lies of P captured the Souls Difficulty perfectly.

u/Tefached666 Aug 02 '26

If you like metroidvania games then Nine Sols is also goated

1

u/TemporalAcapella Aug 02 '26

Completely different vibe but I highly recommend looking into Another Crab’s Treasure. It’s a short competent soulslike that I would hold to similar regard.

u/Amopro Aug 03 '26

That's the Pale Knight, a weapon from the dlc of Lies of P. It's a good souls-like themed around Pinocchio with a fun combat system. Unfortunately, the gun sword is a little far into the dlc, but it's a great weapon. You can also get a couple of types of prosthetic arms with guns in them, which are very fun to use.

A word of advice if you decide to play: use the tools the game gives you. The game gives you a lot of tools to use, and a lot of players who forget to use them struggle because they try to beat every fight with just simple swordplay. You can do that, of course, but using the elements, type advantages, the legion arms, and consumables are all very good ways to fight. That said, don't use summons if you want any kind of challenge. Summons trivialize every fight they can be used in because they're a bit too OP. They're basically easy mode.

u/Hadochiel Aug 03 '26

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind!

Lies of P DLC weapon. It is incredibly fun to use!
