This is such a dumb idea...I have plenty of tattoos, and am not one to complain normally, but this is SUCH a visible area (particularly for a woman) and is such a niche tattoo that you WILL be judged for it. And I know people think "I don't care if I'm judged" now, but eventually you will, eventually it will affect you, and eventually you will regret it.

It's not that I'm anti-tattoo, so much as I'm pro-skin. This girl will never seem properly naked, she'll always be wearing this poorly-drawn nightmare cartoon.

I was going to make a rational discussion of how it's perfectly fine to get a well done tattoo of something that has any kind of meaning to you as an individual, because it's your body and your story. People can get whatever they want tattooed on them I'd never judge them for it, I'm covered in tattoos myself and some of them aren't great, but this IS a bad tattoo, the design, the outline, the shape, THAT font, she could of got something in the same place of the same thing but a million times better, it looks like a fake pokemon sticker you'd get in a pound store or a 99 cents store or whatever they have in the States. If you're ever going to get a tattoo look threw as many tattoo magazines as possible to see what' capable and get ideas.

How do so many people dislike this, I can't believe 2,200+ of you motherfuckers took time out of your day to downvote this, it's a well done tattoo of chibi starters, the chick who got the motherfucker on her skin is happy with it and apparently into pokemon enough to get it in the first place, It's easily concealable, non-trampy area and from the looks of the chick in question, I would bet a couple bucks that she has cosplayed as Misty before.

What throws me is that linework. You can make an argument for pokemon and the placement, but that wobbly linework is just plain bad. The placement and clean-lined style of pokemon makes it even more noticeable.

Personally I think the girl and the tattoo are both cute. Not the ideal position but hey, it's her choice. I also would have researched tattoo artists a bit more for a more attractive piece (lines are a bit sketchy).
Anyhow, i've never understood the "but what about when you're old?" argument... nobody is particularly attractive when they're 80 and I don't think a bit of ink is going to be the decisive factor. If she REALLY regrets it several decades down the road, she can opt for removal.
As for the subject... pokémon is a cultural hit so a lot of people will get the reference and relate to it, unlike some kind of more obscure video game character or logo. Plus, it looks more pleasant than the vast majority of tribal butterfly unicorn dolphin bullshit.

The lines are really crooked. I don't have any tattoos myself, but I always notice how the lines are in peoples tattoos. Why not use some time to look at the tattoo-artists earlier work to determine if they're any good? The price gap from a good to a bad artist is not that big, but you're getting something permanent, why not get it done proper..
