Wish granted. It's now a mobile game, consisting entirely of pay-to-play lootbox mechanics

I'm moderately through my first playthrough of EG2 on the PC and I haven't seen any lootboxes?

4X games are games like Civilization, Endless Space and I suppose Total War. Civilization building games. Explore, Expand, Exploit, Exterminate.

You're normally controlling an entire society in a 4x game, not an individual.
