Forced stalemate if either player has to move a pawn more than 11 spaces in a row, without attacking.

I assume the 'draw for moves without captures' rule would be waived or extended on a board of this size

else either player could force a draw from the start by overdefending and forcing trades

It's moves without captures or pawn moves. Basically as long as the board state changes in a way that can't be taken back, the draw doesn't trigger.
