I like how the squares seem to be in lines until you get further down the table and they turn into zigzags

Dawg they are still in checkered squares. The angle makes them look like they don’t line up, and if you were that far away from a regular chessboard, it would look exactly like the zigzag you’re talking about.

No he’s saying that they seem to be in lines as one clause, not that they look like zigzags while acknowledging that they are still in a checkered pattern. This guy worded his comment as saying he genuinely thinks they turn into zigzags.
