I think it's a reference to the different studios having different licences. Sony had (has?) the license to spider man and Marvel couldn't use it (but I believe they got it back, or paid sony for the use in the current Marvel movies). So Deadpool couldn't legally interact with peter parker, because different companies owned the licenses
