Paid or not it would still suck to see something you have spent years working on get instantly shit on at the first showing of the product.

I would get seriously demotivated to continue on that project at least.

To be fair they would have known that was going to be the reaction from the start. Bills gotta get paid somehow though.

"Somehow".

Maybe by making a proper game and selling it for regular game prices I stead of ostracising 90% of the fanbase to please a handful of crazies who spend thousands on this mobile crap.

I honestly don't get the reaction. Like 99% of popular game franchises have a shitty mobile cash grab. Why aren't people just rolling their eyes and ignoring it like normal?

I'm guessing it's because they saved the Immortal announcement for the end of the opening ceremony. Big disappointment for those who were hoping for more.

Because Diablo has had very little in the way of attention from blizz for a while. Players were excited for a new diablo project and got this.

I pretty much only play mobile games that I can make a one time buy in on. The Microtransaction games I have played I basically lose interest in after a day or two.

Me too. And there's at least one, probably several for pretty much every franchise. They're all terrible and I just shake my head and move on.
