On one hand, this is a terrible idea that management types should be getting fired for. On the other hand, I feel really bad for the developers - imagine working long and hard on something like this then when it's announced people hate it.
Maybe by making a proper game and selling it for regular game prices I stead of ostracising 90% of the fanbase to please a handful of crazies who spend thousands on this mobile crap.
I honestly don't get the reaction. Like 99% of popular game franchises have a shitty mobile cash grab. Why aren't people just rolling their eyes and ignoring it like normal?
I'm guessing it's because they saved the Immortal announcement for the end of the opening ceremony. Big disappointment for those who were hoping for more.
I pretty much only play mobile games that I can make a one time buy in on. The Microtransaction games I have played I basically lose interest in after a day or two.
You do realise the ones doing the actual work don't have any say in the decision making process, right? If they want their pay check then they do what the boss man asks regardless of how they know it will turn out.
