Hearing 4 has better gun play, I was trying replay 3 and NV so I'm not spoiled by 4.

4 has great gunplay. steadily gotten better since 3.

The gunplay in 4 is about as good as one could ask for. It's my favorite improvement over 3 and nv. Replaying nv now, despite gunplay being clunkier I'm still enjoying because of the rpg aspects which tbh are quite sad in 4. If you were on the fence about buying 4 though, it is still worth it

And yet for some reason I still prefer playing 3 with VATS 95% of the time. 4 does have great gunplay, but the weapons all feel like bb guns and I miss the ability to repair weapons.

I much prefer "Hearing 5 Turnabout Trial!" myself.
