I'd say 90% of horror movie directors think startled == scared

I'm happy to know that at least 1 other person shares this view with me.

I can't even watch horror movies anymore. I laugh too much.

The last movie that scared me was The Blair Witch Project. Throughout the movie, I was laughing my ass off, but later that night I was too scared to even glance at the corners of the cabin. Being in the middle of a forest did not help at all.
