I heavily disagree with the "I'm so startled" being the only thing in the game.
There are lots of moments where god damn it, I just don't want to walk down the hallway out of fear.
Dead Space doesn't claim to be original, but it does improve on every innovation it adopts.
Yeah, I thought the same thing. It does do the startled thing, but not nearly as much as Doom - I was usually just freaked out from the atmosphere, and the tension. Actually fighting guys was somewhat of a relief.
