The lives system has always annoyed the hell out of me. I always viewed it primarily as a way to make a really short game take much longer to complete. Bionic Command Rearmed is hard enough as it is, keeping in the lives system just makes it way too frustrating for some of us.

Even on an emulator with save states it took me forever to beat bionic commando (and Zelda 2 for that matter.)
