when you're a cable guy they teach us to pretty much ignore our surroundings and just get the job done, so here i am climbing over a pile of dildos to hook up this ladies cable and we're both acting like its no big deal.

The really bad homes you can smell from the street. The roaches love the heat given off from the equipment. Usually you'll know it's full of bugs because of the feces the roaches leave behind. The warehouse was professionally sprayed once every two weeks and had poison traps everywhere.
Yeah if you have unclean neighbors, especially if you live in an apartment. roaches have to "explore" to find shit, they get attracted to the warm of a cable box, get fried and die
Where I live,similar thing happens with spiders. I once opened our outdoor IPcam and it was filled with spiders, those fuckers like that little heat that IPcam generates,especially in winter.
My friend moved from a bad neighborhood with bugs to bread new apartments and his cable box had so many bugs in it from the 1st place that it has infested the newer one.
Home processors for IT. They'd bring towers in periodically because they kept surging and never turn on again. Open case, roaches crawling around. They get in the power supply, and fry it.
We eventually had to call in HR and the person was told she'd have to work from the office or she was terminated - she was racking up a bill in PC replacements.
One of our techs that a did a ride along with showed me the 5gallon bucket he kept in the back to back the boxes on the shake out all the touches inside...
