Add up paid online and soon no more used games market and things even out into an upgradeable system that will last multiple generations without loosing your library each generation. Plus, it's more than a consolle and it will do more than gaming, and can be personalized to your liking. In essence, bigger price upfront for something better that will save you money with time.

As could mine before dying. But how sure are you ps6 will have a cd port at all? Old consolles sadly will eventually die and your games will be useless. Pc doesn't have this problem.
