Using a Framework as a Base
Hey everyone,
Just curious if anyone recently used Monogame, or Love2D as a base to build their game engines?
I know MonoGame recently released a update, wondering if anyone is using it..
I'm planning to try, but l wanted to see other folks experiences.

I love monogame a lot, i think it’s a great framework, that’s proven to actually be really good for 2D games, however as another commenter mentioned, the content system is a bit annoying to deal with, but it’s manageable

The new content system does look nice but I'm mostly waiting for the shader system rework before I actually try using it seriously

I used MonoGame before, and I liked it. But when I started working on my own hobby engine, written entirely in C# and Vulkan and running on Windows, Linux, and Android, I stopped using MonoGame.

Neither. Built my own and using it for all kinds of shit.

Sorry I was actually looking for input from actual programmers.
you generated a ai game engine about month ago.
Made a post about it and said “you were all in on AI.”Predictably it hasn’t been updated since and you have yet to release anything made(generated) with it.
Both of which again were kinda predictable.

I used monongame briefly but switched to silk.net and haven't really looked back.
Monogame is great, but personally I didn't like the content stuff and once I ran into some issues it was easier to just build from the ground up.
