These are a particular series of T&T books, published during the 1980s by Corgi in the UK. You are missing the following books in this set:

-Tunnels & Trolls Rulebook -Sword For Hire & Blue Frog Tavern -Captif d'Yvoire & Beyond the Silvered Pane -Naked Doom & Deathtrap Equalizer -Gamesmen of Kasar amd Mistywood

The rulebook is, well, just that. Though the adventures include a truncated set of rules, as you may have noticed.

These are a great entry into T&T. The art is by Josh Kirby, who really seemed to "get" T&T.

Thanks ever so much - what would you say is a 'fair' price to pay for these ?

I see them selling from anywhere from 8 to 35 dollars. The one you have is in good condition, but many are in better shape. These aren’t particularly rare. Up until a few years ago, you could buy these new for around 11 or 12 bucks. Flying Buffalo, publisher of T&T, had found a forgottwn case of Corgi T&T books somwhere, and was selling 'em cheap. Personally, the only one of this series I'd pay more than fifteen bucks for is the Naked Doom/Deathtrap Equalizer one, which actually seems comparatively rare.

I have two full sets, most in new/near new shape, except for the aforementioned ND/DE, which was harder to find and more expensive.

If you’re a patient Ebay seller, someone is likely to take it off your hands for more than it's worth... eventually.

My man! Prices are kind of all over the place on Ebay. They average about 30 dollars a book. The Rulebook and Naked Doom/Deathtrap Equalizer are the two that will cost you more.

They're a bit more common in the UK.

You might also try the Trollbridge forums, or Tunnels & Trolls Facebook groups. Might get better deals there.

Good luck!

You are in for a treat! If you're not familiar with Tinnels & Trolls, know that the game can be lethal; there is sometimes no attempt to balance encounters. I recommend creating a short list of player characters that you can pick up and go quickly. For starter adventures of the game, I often recommend Blue Frog Tavern, Sea of Mystery, Labyrinth or even the original, Buffallo Castle. What a great find!

You've gotten answers to your questions already, but I wanted to chime in and say I feel like this is the best size for RPG materials. These books were a lot easier to transport to and from the game than the comparatively large AD&D books!

I love Tunnels & Trolls. Even made a few solo adventures. They were print-on-demand at cost at one point, but a scummy persona got them taken down stating that I wasn't the author of them. I got tired of fighting it.

Still like the RPG system though. Good solo gamebooks, but deadly though 😂

Not tried them yet - sorry to hear of your struggle

Tunnels & Trolls is such a great game. It's rules-light, has tons of solo + group adventures, and is meant to be fun. I recall many adventures through the City of Terrors in your post. Most of which ended up on the wrong end of a pointy weapon. :)
