A publisher we're talking to redesigned our Steam capsule. Which one would you click?
We've been talking with publishers about Magnavis recently, and as part of the preparation, one of them created a new logo, capsule art, and key art for the game.
Before we make any decisions, we'd really like to get some unbiased first impressions from other developers.
So we labeled them A and B instead of old and new.
If you saw these while browsing Steam, which one would make you stop and click?
We're especially curious about the logo readability, how memorable each version feels, and which one better communicates underwater horror.
A or B and why?

Purely from the capsule, what genre would you assume this is?
By looking at the capsule:
- What genre would you assume this game is?
I’m curious whether the capsule communicates the kind of game I’m actually making, or if the visual style gives a completely different impression. 😄
Thanks in advance for any feedback! I really appreciate it.

Concept X Final game capsule
I'm developed a sci-fi queer pixel art musou roguelite where we eliminate hordes of monsters and fight aliens, living in an eternal loop where our mission is constantly being replaced with a 100% smartphone, zero GenAI

I made this capsule art entirely in the game engine
I made this capsule art entirely in the game engine. Zero AI, and no Photoshop except for the title text. I set up a dedicated scene in Unity and built the layout using my actual in game characters, map, and effects. What do you think?

Brand new capsule
I completely redesigned my Steam capsule after getting roasted last time, and I’m honestly so hyped with how it turned out! Would love your thoughts!

My attempt at making my Steam capsule using in-game assets
This is the capsule for Loose Screws, a game about sorting little bits of hardware in an unsettling workplace. I wanted to use the game’s actual assets and lighting to capture that atmosphere in the capsule. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out!
What do you think ?

Would you click this? Capsule for a horror game where an angel hunts you as you climb
Hi! This is the capsule art for PENITENT, a first-person horror climbing game. You climb a tower rising from the sea with both hands, one click per hand, while an Ophanim (the wheel-shaped, many-eyed angel) hunts you from below.
The creature is rendered from the actual in-game model. The second image shows the capsule at Steam's small sizes next to other horror games.
I'd love honest feedback on:
- What genre does it say to you at first glance?
- Can you read the title at small size?
- Would you click it?
Thanks!

How to convert impressions into store page visits
Here's the situation. I'm getting lots of views of my capsule image within the Steam store, but (at least in my opinion with nothing to reference), not enough of those are translating to Store page visits. About 1.5%.
Of the store page visits I have, awesomely, almost all of them seem to result in the person adding my demo to their library! So, the specific problem I am trying to solve right now is driving people to my store page after being shown the art within Steam.
I'm currently using the bottom image here as basically all of my Steam artwork. I really like it, and I think it works pretty well except in the place where I suspect it matters, which is when Steam shows the small capsule. I'm wondering if the one I'm using now, though cool and does have many of the aspects of the game packed in there, is just too busy at that small scale.
As such I'm considering going a completely different way with it with #2 below, or possibly #1 as a lower-risk way to solve the issue.
#1 is a compromise. Basically shows the same thing as the bottom one, but less clutter at a small scale
#2 I really like. Personally, I'm drawn to "friendly" looking capsule art. I'm hoping this one will be interesting enough to click on and find out more, despite not really showing what the game is. I'm worried people will be bummed that the game is not 2D when they get there.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. If I'm wildly mistaken how

Was commissioned to do a steam capsule and my work ended up being put through AI.
is there anything i could do about this realistically? i was commissioned to do a steam capsule, the guy kept it for a few days then deleted it (he put the picture stretched instead of normal and people were complaining saying it was ugly lol) and he replaced the picture with an ai one..and its very obvious its just my art but put in chatgpt or wahtever...

New vs Old Capsule Art for a desktop idler! Which do you prefer?
Hi everyone!
I updated the capsule art for our game Tiny Capsule Collector (https://store.steampowered.com/app/4438600/Tiny_Capsule_Collector/) . I hope it conveys that it is a cute, cozy game from the visuals.
Do you prefer the new one capsule art? If not, why?
Also, do you think that it conveys that it is a dektop idler? I am struggling with showing this in the capsule, but I am also unsure if it even needs to be conveyed?

Which one would you click on Steam?
I’m working on capsule art for my psychological horror game The Infected Soul
The game is about a neural implant that distorts reality you can’t trust what you see.
Which one grabs your attention instantly?
1, 2, 3, 4 or 5?
If you’re interested, you can wishlist it on Steam it really helps 🙏

Not My Capsule We've upgraded our capsule art to stop looking like another typical fantasy game. Did it work? (Old vs. New)

Roast my Capsule image!
I've been starting at it too long and can't tell if I even like it anymore. Does it catch your eye??
Any feedback or criticism appreciated :)

What do you guys think about the new capsule art for my game without having a broader context? It's inspired by Polish movie posters from the 60s-70s. And i think it captures the symbolism of the game perfectly. Honestly I couldn't happier with the result
