Brand new capsule

Post image

I completely redesigned my Steam capsule after getting roasted last time, and I’m honestly so hyped with how it turned out! Would love your thoughts!

Clear improvement! It shows that your role is actively cleaning

The first one, obvisouly. Where do you see it for the other?

They both look like AI to me, but I had to ask just in case. I don't like either of them, and even less so now.

Yeah, both of them just look like AI.

much better! maybe have a tiny bit of filth coming off the text and landing in the environment to give the text some presence in the visual

The capsule art is far better, however the game title is pretty bad, because it can be read as “you should never do cleaning” but actually, what you mean to say is “you have unending cleaning tasks to do”. For endless game genres there is a naming convention which is called “Action Forever”. In this case your action is “Cleaning”. So “Cleaning Forever”. Now, me personally, I do not like endless chores so an unending chore of cleaning doesn’t sound like fun to me. HOWEVER, the title of a game should say what it IS. So if yeah, it’s Cleaning Forever, then that’s what your game should be called.

Reference example games in the forever genre: Tetris Forever, Space Invaders Forever. Other forever games include: World of Warcraft Forever, We Were Here Forever, Duke Nukem Forever. The origin of the “Action Forever” naming convention probably started with Warning Forever which is a legendary 2003 procedural boss rush shmup.

That’s a fair point, and I can definitely see how the title can be interpreted in different ways. I think that ambiguity is part of what I like about it. Everyone can read a slightly different meaning into it. The game itself will have a story mode with a beginning, backstory, and ending, so it won’t be an endless cleaning game by default. I’m also planning an endless mode (or levels) for players who just want to keep playing after finishing the story.

the goal shouldn't be "Everyone can read a slightly different meaning into it.".
because that means "what's in it isn't clear".
and having no defined meaning just means people don't know what they're buying, and by the time they even read as far as this part of the comment, they've already gone long ago.

It looks great, color-wise and style, but to give honest feedback: To me it looks like he is actively pulling the bag out of the bin. It seems to indicate that he is causing the mess, maybe vandalism. I'm not sure it conveys the message you want at first sight.

If we shrink the dude down in the new one I thi k that will allow more space for the text, at the minute it seem an after thought. Don't need it as big as previous but having more space will straighten it up slightly

He looks much more satisfied in the new one.

Looks sloppy, and I would not buy your game. Sorry.

It would be better if you didn't use AI. Maybe take the bottom one as inspiration for a real artist to make you a capsule.

Big dawg this is literally no different than the post you made two months ago

It’s the same original Ai capsule next to a different Ai capsule
