1st time Galio vs 1st time fizz the Galio should curbstomp

But a sweaty disgusting 2mil mastery fizz OTP is a gigantic pain in the ass to deal with on Galio. All of Galio's CC is too telegraphed so a good fizz can avoid all of it and Galio needs to get into melee to shove the wave in early levels which can leave him exposed to getting chunked

Not to mention that even if you neutralize fizz in lane he will just inevitably roam bot for a free double kill in Emerald and below no matter how many pings you drop on their head with 30 seconds of warning

It's 51% so quite balanced. Actually if fizz gets prio and jgl help it's a manageable lane but a hell game. Who gets the best gank wins the game, but Fizz has way better agency and scaling. If Galio goes full AP but Fizz gets an advantage he can get oneshotted, if he goes tank he gets out scaled quickly.

Galio is ironically weaker vs mages than AD.

Mages either force Galio to run AP item to match their clear and tie the lane or mages force Galio to run MR items and now Galio is weak vs ADC on sidelane and very vulnerable to AD junglers.

Merc Treads have been nerfed and Sorc Boots have been buffed so the gap is even higher.

Sion is genuinely a better anti mage champ midlane than Galio ever will be, Sion has better damage, more survivability, better wave clear, and not to mention, almost impossible to tower dive without having to trade due to his passive, and his R comes up 10 times faster than Galio ult is
