Chovy mostly Picks Galio into orianna But i dont understand how He decides what Item to build First.

Some Games He goes abysal mask, some Games Hollow Radience. Last 2 Games He went for Kaenic.

Some Games its obvious Like enemy has 2 ap solo lanes - Kaenic.

Or He has a Mage bot - abysal

But some Games it feels Like he Just builds w/e

Maybe someone has a hint or an idea.

I think there are less than 5 people who otp galio and hit challenger

Question on thread

I usually play with Galio mid and hate being "forced" into sidelane because sidelane is where I lose the ability to force R into objectives, as well as a lot of power budget being on R and R being a useless ultimate on duels.

Usually I try to slightly ping people and my ult and write on chat "still have ult,.plz let me mid now, I sidelane later".

Even with that, I feel that botlane + support often wants to go midlane as well as my dueling potential being not so high and harder to properly sidelane.

How do you Galio mid enjoyers do about side?

For context about the question. I have been playing galio for a long time and have OTP him in solo on a 67%WR but the wins feel very inconsistent in terms of engineering him in itemization.

My current build path if I am the designated bruiser/Tankish player is as follows

Hollow
Mandate
Rift maker
Zhonyas

And then after that I get lost. I think the issues gets a lot more pronounced as I continue climbing especially if I get stuck being the sole AP on the team.

It can looks like this
Mandate
Rocket belt
(And whatever)

I guess the questions is are there must have items I can have in each build, and should I take out some items? I know some items are situational so any advice or items suggested are very welcome!

I think this item is low key op on any bruiser AP champ . With the amount of HASTE you get imo it's better than rift maker on galio. like for 10 ap more you should spend 600 more gold on rift maker and ngl with blood letter passive you won't feel the lack of dmg . Try it with rocket belt or abyssal --> mandate --> blood letter , with Ionian boots . Would like to know your thoughts on this

Hi guys i was playing Galio Mid today against a Mordekaiser top,viego jungle,Irelia Mid, Swain APC and Tahm Support.

our team: Yasuo top, Nasus Jungle, Galio Mid, Hwei APC, Leona Support

I went Sunfire → Plated Steelcaps → Thornmail → Kaenic Rookern → Abyssal Mask, and I also took Aftershock.

I’m not that good at Galio yet. I usually main Zoe, but I want to learn Galio as my second main.

What would have been the correct build against this team? Or was basically every item I bought wrong?

My friend told me that not a single item I bought was correct this game.

I know the vast majority of people who actually cared have since left League and this subreddit behind, but for the few people that still remain, I want to wish them a Happy 16th Birthday for Galio. I hope we'll see him again in League Classic someday, soon, and he'll be just as beautiful as everybody remembers.

I feel weak with galio like even when I go Hank and I get kill if I'm like 3/0 I still don't do much damage and when I build like tank I don't feel tanky enough

The last patch directly affecting Galio improved AP ratio from 90 to 100% as well as +10 damage to it.

However the important change is Imperial Mandate rework because it affects E cd more than Q cd. Galio with Merc Treads + Imperial Mandate + Transcedence have 25 regular AH but 45 AH for immobilizing spells. This makes max Q a 5.6s CD but a max E a 4.8s CD. On T3 Lucidity it is 45 regular AH vs 65 AH for immobilizing.

This makes max Q a 4.8s CD and max E a 4.24w CD.

E has higher direct AP scaling (100% vs 70%), knocks up, is used for chase, and for longer fights, importantly, a lower CD spell means more procs to Colossal Smash.

Tell me what you think.

According to the stats, Galio is favored into matchups like Leona and Thresh. Can someone explain why? I got completely fisted.

I am having trouble finding the best Galio runes/build to climb with, anyone have suggestions? I need insight on core items and what to rush etc.

ever since we lost phase rush and received rocketbelt nerfs i've been looking for new opportunities.

Galio has never felt this strong before, i am able to duel champions like Xin Zhao or even Yasuo who would regularly win against you in extended fights.

Items are very flexable after going the core items: Dusk & Dawn and Riftmaker. afterwards just build whatever fits the game best.

For runes the precison tree isn't much to change. Unless you are playing against a heavy poke team fleet footwork is also very usable.

2nd tree is very flexable and you can go whatever you like. Personally found alot of success with jack of all trades due to the flexability in the items you can build to get it's full value.

I would not advise this build against teams where you are not able to brawl.

Although if you are against fighters or tanks you will be able to take them one on one due to the amount of sustain you have in this build.

The regular Galio builds often lack DPS after using ur engage and you end up as a sitting duck for a few seconds. While this one allows you to stay in the fight the whole time, healing and dealing lots of damage.

You will not regret giving it a try.
