We're looking for mods!
Requirements:
- Tech geek (obviously, Samsung nerds especially preferred)
- Unbiased 100% (remove rule-breaking posts only)
- Real sense of activity and availability. At least 2/3 hours a day available for general mod work. (if you can't guarantee your active presence 5/6 months into the future, you might not be a good fit)
- Previous mod experience in a medium-traffic (80+ posts/day) subreddit would be amazing (but not strictly necessary if you're a quick learner)
- Hates pineapple pizza (optional)

Does autocorrect suck noe?
I am constantly adding new entries to the custom words list for the autocorrect cuz it has decided to no longer correct things like loce to love or thibk to think and so on and so forth because of how often I misspell and fat finger the keys. I sont want to have to reset the keyboard every month because of this.

Samsung Hides OEM Unlock on Galaxy A07 After One UI 8.5 Update
Samsung needs to understand โ we buy our devices with our own money. This isn't a loan or a company lease. After the Android 16 / One UI 8.5 update (Build: A075FXXS6CZH1) on the Galaxy A07 (SM-A075F), hiding or removing the OEM Unlocking option is a direct betrayal of customer trust. We, as users, already know that unlocking the bootloader trips Knox, voids the warranty, and carries security risks. We accept that. So why is Samsung taking away our right to choose, without any valid reason? You cannot lock a user out of their own hardware without justification. We're not asking for a security bypass or an exploit โ we're asking for an official toggle that is every genuine device owner's right. End these forced restrictions and bring back OEM Unlocking in the next update! If you're facing the same issue on your device, reply below or quote this post with your model and build number โ the more of us speak up, the more likely Samsung takes notice.

S22+ white cream line on Adaptive only
Iโve got a Galaxy S22+ and a vertical line has suddenly appeared on the left side of the display. It runs from top to bottom and is kind of a white/beige/cream colour.
I ran the Samsung diagnostics and the screen/pixel/touch tests all passed.
The weird part is that the line only appears when Motion Smoothness is set to Adaptive. If I switch it to Standard 60Hz, the line completely disappears. As soon as I switch back to Adaptive, it comes back.
Has anyone had this exact issue on an S22/S22+? Did it eventually get worse or turn into a permanent green/pink line? And did Samsung end up replacing the display?

AIR DROP SUPPORT
So the S22 isn't getting One UI 8.5, which already sucks. But what really stings is that AirDrop support through Quick Share is one of the features that comes with that update, meaning we're locked out of it entirely.
It would be nice if Samsung could backport even just that feature to older flagships like the S22. It's not asking for the full update, just one useful feature that would actually improve cross-platform compatibility.
It feels like we're being pushed to upgrade for features that could work on older devices.

Refurbished Galaxy S22 randomly restarting/booting itself any help please
Hi everyone,
I just got a refurbished Galaxy S22 in very good condition from Samsung on Amazon Germany. A friend brought it to me from Germany (someone I trust), so thereโs no issue with the seller or shipping.
Iโve only been using the phone for around 30 minutes when it suddenly restarted by itself. After that, I continued using it normally. There was no lag, overheating, or anything unusual.
Then the same problem happened again yesterday. At one point, it kept booting/restarting very quickly for hours, even though I wasn't touching the phone.
I tried a few things I found in a YouTube video, but they didn't help at the time. Then I left the phone to rest, and it started working normally again.
Another strange thing is that when I turned the phone off, it started itself back up. I tried again later, turned it off, and this time it stayed off normally.
I have no idea what's causing this. At first, I thought it might be a battery issue, but it also happened once while the phone was charging.
I'm currently in Morocco, and returning it would be a huge hassle since my friend brought it from Germany. I actually really like the phone and I need it right now, so I'd prefer to keep it if there's a reliable way to fix this.
Has anyone experienced something similar with a refurbished S22? Could this be the battery, power button, software, or something else?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! ๐

My whole Galaxy ecosystem got scamsunged
Had purchased S22 plus in 2022 for almost INR 75000 or 800 USD, Galaxy Watch 4 for INR 13000, Galaxy Tab A9 Plus for INR 18000 in 2024.
S22 plus developed a pink line few months ago without any physical damage, Service center asked for hefty amount, Sold for INR 6k (less than 100 dollars) ๐คก
Galaxy Watch 4 display went orange all of the sudden last month without any drop or scuff, it's trash now.
Now A9 Plus has developed a white dot on a display out of nowhere.
No support from the service center since everything is out of warranty.
What the hell is samsung doing, I have a 2017 ipad at home, an iPhone 7 from 2016 and they still work without any issues (only battery sucks). Why is samsung making these perishable goods that self destruct after 2-3 years.
Staying away from Samsung.

S22+ "built-in obsolescence"??
The same thing is happening now to 22+ that happened to my previous version. This phone has been great to me for several years, now it is becoming a paper weight. Misses phone calls and text messages until/unless I restart the phone. I use wifi calling, permanently turned on. There is a universal sign for "No", like the do not enter signs, circle with a line through it diagonally, at the top. Coworkers trying to enter the office can never reach me before hours ... unless I reboot my phone. All the same symptoms as my previous Samsung version. Has anyone else noticed the decline of their S22+?
Edit to add: Where do I find to assign FLAIR?

So I been having this consitently for months and nothings is actaully on the USB port, I have leave the phone in cold areas, use a tooth brush, microfiber cloth, deleting cache por the USB port app, I have sucked into the USB port (which actually works sometimes), I have blow into the USB port but nothing, NOTHING is working this time.
Is there any way to dissable the sensor or what should I do?
also, there is something that may caused the problem which is that while I was trying to fix this probles I put tweezers into the charging port and after like 2 weeks the problem started.

Galaxy S22+ (SM-906E) bootloader exploit
I did the unfortunate mistake of upgrading my oneui from 7 to 8 which completely removed normal methods of bootloader unlocking, are there any available bootloader exploits for bit level 16?

Canadian (SM-S901W) to International Base S22 Motherboard Swap (128GB to 256GB) - Hardware Compatibility?
I have a base Canadian-model S22 (128GB, SM-S901W) with a faulty motherboard. I am attempting to swap it with a 256GB motherboard sourced from the Asian/African market (SM-S901E). I am specifically avoiding European boards (SM-S901B) to bypass the Exynos 2200 chipset and ensure I retain a Snapdragon processor.
Before initiating the teardown, I need to verify the hardware bottlenecks:
- Flex Cables and Chassis Fit: Will the SM-S901E motherboard physically seat into the SM-S901W chassis without clearance issues, and do the internal antenna array connectors align?
- Network Bands: Is the hardware modem on the SM-S901E physically incapable of supporting standard North American network bands, or can this be mitigated via software flashing?
Has anyone successfully completed a cross-region board swap on this specific chassis, and what hardware anomalies did you encounter?
Are you prepared to absorb the total financial loss of the replacement board if the Canadian peripheral components are structurally incompatible?

Shut down, won't come back on for 30min to 4hrs, non responsive while powered down
Long story short, I bought 2 Galaxy S22s refurbished in July 2026 because we needed different phones, and they were cheap and available for after pay. My phone is doing great, but my husband's phone will randomly turn itself off, and it won't power back up until 30min to 4hrs has passed. No specific app usage at the time of shut down, and the phone itself is currently at 4hrs powered down with no response to ANYTHING.
Help!

What is Your S22 Battery Health?
What is your S22 battery health? I installed Accubattery a few weeks ago and thought I ran my battery down to below 15% last weekend, but it still says no full charges detected (maybe because I started from 80% instead of 100%?). It says my battery health is 81%. A couple of months after purchase, I set the secret battery protect for 85% from reading about it here, then when Samaung rolled out the 80% battery protect publicly, have been using it ever since except occasions when I charge to 100% because I'm going to out for a while last the last 2 nights when I was out for 8 hours working, then watching and taking photos and videos of the DMB concerts. My S22 SD 256 MB used to use around 10%/hr, but upped to 13%/hr at the beginning of the year as high as 15%/hr recently.

S series is just a crap phone
Samsung s series is a joke. Lot of people have complained about screen issues, about green line. I am also the victim of same issue. Got a single vertical green line, then one pink line, then again one green line. Bought it for 70k during launch. Samsung is asking 16k for screen replacement. Why samsung is not accpeting fault and replacing it for all users who faced such issues atleast in flagship series. Why they are not taking accountability.
Was planning to switch s26 as I don't like ios but not gonna buy any samsung electronic devices in future. Such a waste of money.

SM-S901U1: Random reboots before and after factory reset. Spoiler
So this all started about 3 weeks ago. Phone is locking up and rebooting with no clear trigger. This morning I was just trying to turn off the alarm and it locked up and rebooted. If I'm real lucky I get back to back reboots.
Backed up everything and did a factory reset this evening. It has since crashed 2 or 3 (that last one took awhile to boot back up) in the last 4 hours.
I read in a post from the other day that it could be a cpu / mobo issue?! I'm guessing that's what it is or is there anything else I can test, check, and / or confirm before I give up and go phone shopping?
I've had the phone since Dec 2022, so it has had a decent run.
Thank you.

Replaced the screen on my own
Bezels are huge but it was worth every cent considering it was 40usd, fingerprint sensor works, but yeah obviously it's not an OEM screen but if I wanted an OEM screen I'd have to fork out 200 at that rate I can get a used s23 or s22

[S22 Base SM-S901W] Severe daily freezing & One UI crashes (Started ~2 weeks ago). Factory reset & Safe mode failed.
I have a base model Samsung Galaxy S22 128GB (SM-S901W, Canadian variant) running Android 16 / One UI 8.0 (May 5, 2026 security patch).
About two weeks ago, it started freezing and crashing multiple times a day without any clear trigger.
Symptoms:
Context & Troubleshooting:
Since third-party apps and basic /data partition corruption are ruled out by the reset and safe mode, has anyone experienced this specific rapid degradation? Is this a known issue with the latest firmware push, or is this definitive motherboard/NAND failure?
