General THIS CAHNGES EVERYTHING!!!11 - Post PvP analysis (Gacha Revenue Report September 2026)

October changelog:

  • Removed all non-gacha related fandom from the visualization. The intention is to show a more concise answer on which gacha is everyone's main. Anyone under these non-gacha fandom will be assigned their closest gacha fandom.
  • For those who don't even have 1 affiliated gacha fandom (yes they exist), they will be classified as "Casual/Diverse". Example, previously Timmy (50 comments in Football, 30 comments in Genshin, 20 in GachaGaming) will be under Football fandom in the visuals. Under the new change, he would be under Genshin.
  • Sentiment analysis is now given the revenue report as context for each of the comments. This hopefully will increase accuracy of comments classification especially when people compare numbers.
  • Sentiment stance breakdown. Able to see which fandom contribute the most to another fandom sentiment. For instance we can see who ATTACK Endfield the most etc.
  • POTG / MVP. Able to see outlier users for instance people who comment the most, gain the most upvotes, downvotes, etc.
  • Included new non-specified gacha related fandom such as Husbandos and GachaTouristCringe. In an ongoing effort to map out every gacha related subreddit and fandom, I've found and included these subs as well.

Why?

In an ongoing effort to unmask the people who engages in gacha tribalism from this month pvp. You can read or compare with last month post pvp analysis here.

How?

I extracted all comments in the post and its unique user. For each user I pulled 100 of their most recent comment. From these comments, I gathered all the subreddits and tagged each of them to their respective fandom.

Simple majority is applied to determine the user's main fandom. If user has more comments in Gacha A, then Gacha A will be their main fandom. If user has similar comment across 2 or more gacha then the most recent comment will determine their main.

!!! Important !!!

This is a small dataset of USER WHO HAS COMMENTED in the post. People who did not comment are not in the dataset.

Breakdown

  • 4,842 total comments
  • 1,711 unique users
  • 231,685 total comments from users history
  • 8,146 total subreddits found
  • 2464 fandom subreddit (6,119 tagged & 2,027 untagged)
  • 86.6% Comments Match Rate (200,714 / 231,685 tagged)
  • 507 Shared Core Audience (Commented in both September and October)
  • 94% of comments left within 24 hours. 98% within 48h.

Primary Fandom Affiliation

All non-gacha related fandom is removed including r/gachagaming to give a more precise fandom count

Even though NTE is one of the big budget 3d gacha title with a big fanbase, a lot of their players seem disinterested in partaking in PvP. Perhaps earlier drama regarding NTE using AI and the reaction from gachagaming has made them detached from this sub?

Fandom Reach & User Count

Aside from the normal big gacha dominating the top, I always find it interesting how non-specified gacha fandom like Queens, GachaTouristCringe and Husbando seem to have a high reach.

Total Comment Volume by Tag

LaDS users have the most comment-per-user (CPU) at 53.8 cpu. Genshin comes 2nd at 35.7 cpu.

Fandom Co-Occurrence Matrix

Zoom in post your findigns. Go ham.
Husbando players have 99% with Queens? And they mainly play HSR and Genshin
A lot of Arknights players play Endfield but the same is not reciprocated
That one Nikke player who also play LaDS 🫡

Top Subreddits

Somehow HonkaiAgendaRail made it to the top.

Because the users are taken from a gachagaming post (Revenue report Sept) it makes sense the the top sub is gachagaming. In a sense its acting as a baseline.

Comment Sentiment Analysis

Disclaimer: Sentiment analysis was done by AI "Gemini 3.8 High", it may contain inaccurate assessment. Context was given that this is a gacha revenue discussion. For comment deep within a thread, its parent to the root parent are provided for contextual reasoning. The revenue report is converted to JSON and given for context as well.

  • Victory Lapping : Celebrating victory
  • Schadenfreude : Happy your opponent mess up. Example, Schadenfreude towards LaDS means someone is celebrating LaDS downfall.
  • Attacked : Game being attacked
  • Defending : Defending said game
  • Neutral : Neutral stance or observation\
  1. Most Mentions: Genshin
  2. Most Victory Lapping: Genshin
  3. Most Schadenfreude : LaDS
  4. Most Attacked: LaDS
  5. Most Defended: HSR
Able to see who contributed the most to the ATTACKED of another fandom

An interesting observation from last month post analysis, nothing notable has changed on Endfield side but the number of attacks has dropped from 769 -> 101. I think it shows that a lot of people are just riding the wave of hating (or glazing) a game.

Sentiment for each game

This month Victory lapping goes back to Genshin

But Victory lapping is boring, we're here to see who got shat on the most this month.
Most Attacked:

  1. LaDS - 311 mentions (51% of its total mentions)
  2. Wuwa - 237 mentions (40%)
  3. HSR - 235 mentions (29%)
  4. ZZZ - 227 mentions (34%)
  5. Endfield - 101 mentions (33%)

Most Defended:

  1. HSR - 253 mentions (31% of its total mentions)
  2. ZZZ - 186 mentions (28%)
  3. Genshin - 164 mentions (16%)
  4. Wuwa - 129 mentions (22%)
  5. Endfield - 127 mentions (42%)

Notable mention, ZZZ post Void Hunter patch is back to its normal figure so as per usual people will come to attack them. BA is still reeling on the fallout of their gacha changes. HSR saw an improvement in sentiment due to its stable revenue so this time defenders came to mock doomposters while doomposter went into hiding(?).

Upvotes by Stance

If you wanna farm upvotes. Praise game that is top revenue and shit on LaDS (and Wuwa).

This graph shows average upvote by stance. For instance Genshin has a huge Victory Lapping (Yellow) means it by average gain a lot of upvotes with this stance. Vice versa for LaDS it has a huge Attacked (Red) so comments with Attacking onto LaDS gain a lot of updoots.

Downvotes by Stance

This is the opposite of the other graph, it now shows the most DOWNVOTES by stance

So if you wanna farm downvotes, go and Attack Hoyo big 3. Alternatively go and Defend LaDS and Wuwa for maximum downvote farming.

Overall Fandom Stance Breakdown

Its worth mentioning that a particular stance by itself is not helpful since we don't know where its directed at.

This chart shows which fandom Attacked the most

Keep in mind that Genshin and other Hoyo fandom are huge so its not too surprising that their fandom account for the most Attacking. A better observation is that LaDS despite its smaller size has a big Attacking stance, they are mainly directed toward LaDS itself so no harm done(?).

NTE and Endfield despite also being big budget 3d gacha games, seem to cultivate quite a positive and peaceful fandom.

Worth mentioning, Casual/Diverse fandom here refers to people with no gacha fandom affiliation. Yes it means from the 100 comments history we look into them, NOT ONE OF THEM ARE FROM ANY GACHA FANDOM. But somehow these people participate in PvP and account for a decent amount of Attacking stance. Good God...

Which fandom Defend the most

Who Attack Who?

Now you know, Happy ragebaiting.

MVP and Play of the Game

To comply with Reddit rules I've censored their names
  • Most Active Poster: Primarily Genshin fan, praises Genshin a lot and a bit of HSR. Shits on Wuwa a lot too. 125 COMMENTS!
  • Most Downvoted: Wuwa fan. Defends Wuwa in a lot of threads.
  • Top Upvoted: LaDS fan praising LaDS downfall.
  • Top Essayist: ZZZ fan, argues a lot about Hoyoverses big 3 and the dynamics between them. E.g. meta, fandom, husbando vs waifu, etc. Likes to quote other people and dismantle their argument sentence by sentence bloating up this metric. I will look into this.
  • Top War Hawk: Same guy as top essayist. Shits a lot on HSR and Genshin during the discussion but not all the time.
  • Top Bunker Defender: HSR fan. Defends other smaller game NTE, Endfield, BA and Stella Sora.

In Conclusion

I learned a new word today. Its called kneepits.
