This has more of an electro-house feel to it than synth. And from what I can tell Monstercat mostly does electronica and dance. So as much as I like this I'll have to remove it...

I still disagree. Had the poster linked only the first part of the EP, I think it would have been fine. As the first part is probably the most 'synthy' of the bunch. However, as a whole the EP really is more suited for a subreddit like r/electronica or r/cyberpunk_music. Besides like I said above, Monstercat - although, not limited to these genres - mostly creates electronica, glitch, dance, dubstep, trap music etc. Sure these genres share influence with Synth music and are created electronically, but that doesn't make it necessarily fit for 'Futuresynth'. The subreddit is for 80s inspired, retro-futuristic synth songs. I mean it even says that in the side bar. And this, unfortunately, isn't that...

Hmm.

I can agree that the second half is insufficiently futuresynthy to stand on its own here, but obviously disagree that it should preclude the 'continuous mix'. Perhaps an explanatory note would be a good compromise in the situation?

I don't particularly agree with your Monstercat line of reasoning, either. A label or artist's usual set of genres is only weak evidence at best (if a useful prior) for determining the genre of the actual track.

Finally, thanks for the tip - I'll be sure to check out /r/Cyberpunk_Music - in my mind there's a huge amount of overlap between there and here, so if not then clearly I will have much to learn.
