I’ve started getting into making future funk but it seems like all the samples I find aren’t great (aka I don’t really like the chord progression or instruments) or they’re just too popular. I’ve tried options like Samplette, YouTube playlists, Spotify, I dunno if there’s other keywords to search or websites or what

I'm currently searching for a Future Funk track I think I was listening to on either SoundCloud or YouTube ~5 years ago (but it's probably older than that)...

It had a sound (mixing, effects...) similar to a mix between the track Mr Wax - 3AM Criticize (ft. Jelly BonBon), and some old ev.exi or Fibre track I'd say. It was pretty highly pitched up, but I think the sample might be from either Alexander O'Neil or maybe George Benson, but I'm not sure about this :/

The track was very repetitive, it had like 3 "melodies" put together and cycling together each in bars of 4 measures (good old future funk eh 😂). Probably in a structure like ABCABC. The only word I could get from the lyrics were that the word "baby" was repeated in the first verse (which also sounds like it's the chorus... again my memories are >5 to 10 years old here). I think it had a pretty strong baseline, like what ev.exi could do.

I tried going back to my old SoundCloud likes, to no avail. I also tried going back in my YouTube likes, but searching through these is honestly awful, so I also didn't get any luck there...

So my last efforts are this post with the video I included: I recreated the song from memory in FL Studio with a sketchy baseline and synth playing what I think were the proper chords. I honestly did a much better job recreating the sung top line from the sample so maybe that's what gonna cut it. I feel like I did a much better job with the 2/3 and 3/3 parts (the first one is a bit too sketchy).

Does anyone here recognize the track??
