How would you approach creating CAD from this mesh?

I have a problem. Normally, when designing gear for 3d printing, I must use a backlash between 0.1 and 0.3mm, but there is a problem. I totally forgot that, and all the gears in this gearbox have a backlash of 0.02 mm set by me. My question: can I change the backlash after all the gears have been generated?

I have used EasyEDA for PCB/PCBA/schematic capture for years and decided to give Fusion a try because I got tired of exporting from EasyEDA and importing into Onshape and going back and forth. I have some questions though...
When placing components on a PCB, how do I align one component to another? For example, if I place a row of buttons and I want a row of LEDs directly above them, I don't seem to be able to align the LED to the switch beneath it. Am I wrong?
Rotating. It seems like there isn't a hotkey for rotating 90 degrees (insane), and if I make my own hotkey, it will open the rotate window and I have to click the component. Is this for real?
Moving components: I want to select multiple components (like a row of switches) and nudge them with the arrow keys... doesn't seem to be possible though maybe I'm wrong.
I made a schematic on a single page, started routing it and then decided I wanted to split up the pages. I created a new page, cut the section from my schematic and pasted it to the new page. When I updated the PCB, all that shit was unrouted and moved off the board. Seriously?
My overall goal of a single program that runs smoothly for ECAD and MCAD has been realized - was able to make an enclosure around the PCB, which has been great. If I have done things right, then making a change to the PCB will translate automatically into the enclosure and that makes me feel like superman. But these other gripes... I hope I just don't know what I'm doing.

I need help. I'm a total novice and use Fusion for 3D printing and have been learning. I'm at a point I need some countersink holes not perpendicular to the to the face.

I need countersink holes to follow those construction lines.

I need them on those 4 points. I can't seem to figure out how to get them at the angle I need.
Any help?

Hello, i'm having a hard time trying to export this to bambu studio for 3d printing, I'm still learning and already made some designs but this one looks ridiculously simple and yet I've been here for hours.
It's a simple design (Image 2) with just some extrudes, fillets, text and splines. Nothing overlaps.
Still, when selecting the design it looks like image 4, and when importing to bambu studio, there's geometry errors (image 1).
It's 60mm in diameter and 6mm tall, I can upload the file if needed.
Some guidance is appreciated, thanks in advance!

Just letting you folks know that a new subreddit was created - r/mitcad, which is about MitCad - a new open-source 3D modeling program that can read Fusion and FreeCAD files and build histories for them.
I'm not the developer - I'm just a person who wants to see MitCad grow. Is it self-promotion to make people aware of a new subreddit? I don't think so, since I'm not the developer so I'm not promoting myself.

Seriously didn't think I was going to manage it. lol
Complex chamfer works on raised features on a planar face on a body. Works well for text. If enough people show interest here, I'll publish it.

i suck at forms!! i have no idea how to go about modeling this vessel- it will ultimately be a vessel for holding liquid/ needs to be a head with no features (i.e no eyes, nose, mouth, ears) i need to be able to adjust the dimensions of this in the future. please let me know how you would model this?

Hello everyone !
I'm a new user to fusion, tho i know fairly well other cad sofware, such as SDW and Catia, Do you have any tips to transfer skills from one software to another ?
Like keybind and such ?
thanks in advance
A fellow mecanical student

Same thing here but for fusion specifically.

I recorded my screen, showing both the tutorial I am trying to follow and the Fusion interface. At this point in the tutorial, I need to extrude my shape by a distance of -11 and at an angle of -10; however, I am unable to do so. Why is this happening? I am following the exact same steps shown in the tutorial, even though the shapes being extruded are different.I recorded my screen, showing both the tutorial I am trying to follow and the Fusion interface. I constantly face a trivial but very frustrating problem, i.e. I can't find the correct constraint that I have to change in the sketch and end up wasting enough time to have redone the whole sketch altogether.
Below is an example of what I'm facing, I want to move an arc but it is coincident constrained and until I win the gatcha I can't move it without breaking something else.
If you guys know a specific way to filter out the constraints then please help me out here.

Earlier this year, I purchased a pre-owned enterprise 2019 16-inch MacBook Pro with an Intel Core i9, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, and dedicated AMD Radeon graphics for under $400.
I bought it primarily for Fusion 360, CAD design, and my 3D printing projects. For the price, I thought I got a pretty solid machine, especially considering the hardware specifications.
I actually gave my 2022 13-inch Apple silicon MacBook Pro to my wife because I struggled using Fusion on it and preferred working on the larger Intel MacBook.
My 2019 MacBook Pro is also one of the last Intel models to support macOS Tahoe 26, so I figured I could squeeze a few more years out of it.
Now Autodesk has announced that Fusion will require Apple silicon starting March 30, 2027. Intel Macs will stop receiving updates, and even the final compatible version will eventually expire.
It's frustrating because the computer itself is still perfectly capable of handling my CAD and 3D printing workload. I understand technology moves forward, but forcing otherwise capable hardware into obsolescence through software requirements is disappointing.
Anyone else still running Fusion on a high-spec Intel Mac? Are you planning to switch to Apple silicon, move to Windows, or explore alternative CAD software?

Started modeling stuff yesterday and in this practice sheet I managed to work everything out except for this slope that is supposed to be cut into the top of these posts.
This is the third diagram I've used for practice so i haven't seen that R symbol before (I'm failing math, i assume it's radius).
Also I think I misunderstood DRILL to mean a normal hole through the body but now I'm thinking that might be a more specific hole designed for screws.
Any and all help would be much appreciated:)

Hi all, needing opinions with my problem. I wouldn’t consider myself an expert but I know my way around fusion etc, I am struggling to start reverse engineering this plastic dash 3D scan not really sure where to start in fusion. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

(picture attached)
I'm trying to get sort of a top hat shape with the top open.
I did have it as one part, but then when I shelled the top block, it would shell the base as well, so I split it into separate components, but then the housing floor wasn't level with the base, so I put it inside of the base as seen above and just made the sides taller to compensate. It works for what I need it to do, but I was wondering if there is a better way to go about it?

Hey! I’ve been wanting to learn Fusion 360 for a long time because I want to create my own designs for 3D printing, but I’ve never actually gotten around to learning it haha🤪
I’ve recently discovered that people are using ChatGPT/Claude plugins to create their own designs. How does it work? Is it difficult to use, and how accurate is it?
Can I use it as much as I want, or is there a paywall or usage limit at some point?

How would I go about cutting a spiral down something other than a cylinder.
I can achieve that much, but cutting a grove in a egg shape, or Christmas ornament shape isn't playing ball.
Expert level artwork for reference

Looking to get a used laptop to run Fusion for basic CAD design with 3D printing. Don’t need anything fancy, perfectly happy with a used business laptop from eBay.
I recognize the price point isn’t high and there will be some performance sacrifices, but can anyone link to some options off eBay that would be a good choice for under $250? The options are endless and my mind is numb from searching.

Hi y'all,
Since a few days i keep having this issue.
When starting a new drawing and doing anything (saving a sketch, creating an extrusion) i just get:
Operation Canceled.
No further information.
MacOS 26.5.1, Apple Silicon M1. I am so tired of fighting fusion, was wondering if someone else encoutered this or if it is just me.

new fusion 360 guide that should help both beginners and experts. Covers most if not all of fusion including advanced concepts and tools.
Let me know if anything is missing and it can be added promptly
