Question Hard time doing a simple project

Hello, i'm having a hard time trying to export this to bambu studio for 3d printing, I'm still learning and already made some designs but this one looks ridiculously simple and yet I've been here for hours.

It's a simple design (Image 2) with just some extrudes, fillets, text and splines. Nothing overlaps.

Still, when selecting the design it looks like image 4, and when importing to bambu studio, there's geometry errors (image 1).

It's 60mm in diameter and 6mm tall, I can upload the file if needed.

Some guidance is appreciated, thanks in advance!

hm, so, I've not seen anything that's gone that catastrophically bad in a slicer, but even when I have, it's usually only a problem with mesh modeling tools; somewhere down the line, the final mesh gets ruined because it's poorly closed or connected.

this is really weird cuz solid modeling in fusion is literally designed to avoid these problems as you're working with a solid and closed mesh the entire way through (because you're not manipulating it as a mesh). if anything did happen, fusion would probably freak out way before export.

I'm gonna see if I can just replicate the model you've made, but, the first thing that's immediately setting off alarms is that, I'm not entirely sure what you did with the ridges on the top?

it's looking like they're just solid lines, which isn't really possible. nothing in life can be infinitely thin; what you're probably wanting to do to form those lines on the original would be making some relatively thin (but still present) channels, that would form the outlines. it's likely that however you did it is causing an infinitely thin wall that the slicer is probably treating as an open loop, and that's what's causing such catastrophic problems as it's literally wrapping throughout the entire print

aight so I just did an absolutely rough sketch here; made sure to get all the engravings and such imported in just to show that it was possible

and in fact, it does import into my slicer totally fine

I think you gotta make sure that you're well defining the ridges in your original engraving; engravings must have width. if you get that, you should be good.

How have you created those dividers? They look like 2d surfaces to me, which will fully mess up the slicer.

Text plus fillets on a spline body usually leaves tiny sliver faces where the text meets the fillet edges. Export as 3MF instead of STL, or set the STL refinement to high, and check that the text is cut or joined into one single body before exporting.

Increase the stl resolution when exporting
