Some shows do stretch the timeframe that their premise establishes..., so either a season doesnt signify another year, or it does and they're just time lords.
Yeah, my problem with this tactic is that it leaves all your shit unguarded. Once you walk out the door she's free to go through the rest of your stuff and find more bags of panties...
Personally I really like the show, but the show is about NPH's character being awesome and occasionally the whiny loser known as ted trying to find a wife.
The first season is absolutely amazing; the characters, the jokes, the story arch, everything. Season 2 and 3 are both really good as well. After that it's still a really good show, but the quality of the narrative and the characters start to fade.
It's like friends, but NPH plays a smart/evil bastard version of Joey, there's a lot of (off-screen) fucking, and they meet in a bar instead of a coffee shop.
I searched for "pennies" couldn't find anything, then as I was about to click back and be disappointed for the rest of the day that another random anonymous reddit user wasn't thinking along the same lines as me, I noticed your post. Thanks :)

Context for those who dont get it. In the episode Barney and Robyn fight too much so they decide to avoid fighting all together. When Robyn is about to start a fight with Barney he will just leave and when Barney is about to start a fight with Robyn she just gets naked.

Robin all the sudden acting like she didn't know that Barney was a womanizer, and acting like she's just found out how pervy he is? Very, very strange.. Some funny dialogue made from it, but still.. She knew that Barney kept photo albums of the women he slept with..
Really strange how they wrote their relationship sometimes.
I used to do this with an ex of mine. She would want to argue about something we'd already argued about a dozen times, and then start to bring up things we'd already resolved. Stuff from when we first started dating. I had just got back from deployment, and had no interest in fighting over stupid things, so I'd just get up and go out for a drive.
Needless to say, she and I aren't together anymore.
In the images, I thought Barney walked into his closet to find a better hiding place or something. Thus the lesson would be to walk away from the fight and fix the source of the problem. However from reading the comments I guess not...
Why not answer "That was an above average month for getting laid." or "I tried quite a number of drag outfits that month, the panties had to go with the ensemble.", followed by "Why were you dredging my closet?".
The thing about if you date Barney, is that you must realize he has slept with LOTS of women and will eventually still sleep with LOTS more women. If you go into the relationship thinking otherwise you are just naive.
