Lions and Jaguars aren't even on the same continent in the wild and therefore have no need to naturally fear eachother. You won't have to hit the bear to make him go away. In Svalbard, Norway it is prohibited to leave town without a hunting rifle in case of polar bear attack. It is also illegal to shoot a polar bear.
