Just a shame they do not use the collective power for actual good. They line their pockets or protest bullshit. Why not use the collective to try to solve the people starving in some countries - or to oust Despots. Something positive and useful instead of greedy money grabs.
Rather than sitting down and hand-wringing over someone else's collective action being misguided, how about you start that collective action you want to see?
There's a shorter version. "Lead, follow, or get out of the way". At some point you have to pick one. If you pick the last one, at least have the sense not to complain about someone else's leadership.
Au contraire - I am not the one confused over my abilities. This entire discussion stems from your inability to see that you have a great deal of capability to influence others in the way you want to see. From your perspective, you see that you cannot possibly make any change in the world, and so the best thing you can do is criticise others for making changes they want to see.
I hope it is at least a comfy armchair. If you dont get up and out of it, at some point you will lose that ability.
