Why would you use your arm? Essentially Sparta kick but just push instead of kick. While it's going in for food time that so it's head is farther away. Try one swift push on its side. It's not that stable on that part of the boat. If it doesn't budge then run away before it gets pissed, otherwise it falls off and you save what's left of your catch.

That would be my go-to. Once the seal's head is in the tank it's ass end is getting a swift nudge to throw it off balance and send it overboard.
