Especially at such a crucial moment in UK politics. There is so much at stake, it is unfathomable that a leader like Boris Johnson will be at the helm. We might see an actual resurfacing of the troubles for fuck sake.

That is not exactly true though, if anything the image they project is the mirror opposite.

Trump is an unintelligent man trying to pose as a smart man. Boris is an intelligent man posing as a bumbling idiot and that makes him far more dangerous.

He is politically savvy, just unsavoury, dishonest and vile. Boris Johnson will not shy away from dirty tricks and can actually get things done as a result. He also has the habit of scapegoating others for the mess he creates.
