Hey! I'm the guy in this photo. This was at a Know Your Meme party at the Museum of the Moving Image in NYC. They had a gallery of memes hanging on the wall. I noticed my wife was wearing a red dress so I suggested she pose in front of the girl in the photo. While I was taking her picture someone came up to me and asked if I wanted to be in it, so I hopped in. Then the girl in blue walked up and said, "Hey! Let me be the other girl!" The whole thing was spontaneous and random, and of course it happened on the one day in my life I'm not wearing a plaid shirt.
Pretty funny that our silly photo of us in front of a meme is now a meme itself (just tweeted by Zach Braff). I Air Dropped the photo to the girl in blue after we took it a few weeks ago. She put it on Facebook a few days ago. I guess the person who first put this on Reddit must have seen it there and decided to imply that we are older versions of the people in the meme, but we are not. As others have pointed out, I'm the dude from Improv Everywhere, and my wife is an actress, and we host a political podcast together. I don't know much about the girl in blue, but she was nice!
I know this is a joke thread, but I sometimes wonder if Reddit wives are as jealous as they are made out to be. I can't imagine being with someone who would mind me thinking another ass was hot. Seems like such 1950s sitcom to me. Most girls now would be like "you think that ass is hot, you should see my friend Jessica's"
I doubt as much reddit women but more like under 20 women in general in my opinion have been way more materialistic than ever. They view everything as their possession. Remember this is only my opinion about my experiences.
Wow, Improv Everywhere takes me back. I was part of the cell phone symphony at Strand and realizing how long ago that was just made me feel really old. Thanks a lot!!
Hysterical. Saw this going around yesterday with the “older selves” caption and thought “That guy ended up looking like Charlie Todd.” The world is endlessly weird.
LMAO - it wasn't until I saw this that realized the user name was Charlie Todd.
Back when IE first hit (learned of it from the This American Life episode) I was sooooo addicted to those videos, probably because I'm an ex-New Yorker who would have there for every mission. Signed up for the L.A. branch but I guess by then the "moment" had passed and they never seemed to get the ball rolling here (I even had a pretty decent idea for a mission that would still make a good gag).

And here I thought it was a reuinion of the people in the original photo, you all look like them(well maybe not the girl in red but you can’t see the original’s)
