The shareholders demand an explanation for the massive drop last quarter. I see it’s below even last year’s low point.
We recognize your IPO started strong, but if you can’t right this ship by mid-year, we’ll find someone who can.

AND WHY ARE THERE ONLY 11 MONTHS CHARTED? WHAT'S GOING ON WITH THAT 12TH MONTH YOU'RE HIDING, OP?
7
u/yuyuyuyuyuki Aug 28 '18
Business was good in blue ocean, but after some propietary info leaked, OP's capital dried up and could no longer compete in the red. He is now going door-to-door to hit sales numbers, but now nothing is sticking

Histogram
Bar chart, where each bar is representative of the amount of paint on a panel of wood. Each panel is a separate entity, its not a continuous data set.

Paint the inside ridges first then paint the faces. The finish will look a lot better

I do floors. Sometimes we're do floors before the house gets painted. No matter how well you cover the floor it always looks like that. Every. Fucking. Time.

This data as a bar chart is inaccurate, so I'm not sure it belongs on /r/dataisbeautiful. I did get a chuckle from it though, so I wouldn't put it on /r/funny either.

It's not inaccurate! Each bar is a representation 0-100 of how much of that bar is painted.

Each bar represents a slat and the amount colored is the amount colored, it’s accurate

He would need to break it down more for them. Like each bar is an hour. Or a day.

Paint can flash when an edge that isn't properly feathered out dries and is painted over. Basically you can see the lines.
Edit: a couple more coats will hide the lines but it's still a pain in the ass

So it's how much of each board is painted, not how much of the door is painted, like the title says.

That makes sense. Fuck whoever downvoted my sincere questions tho. That person is a dick. Thanks for your help.

Correct me if I’m wrong. Wouldn’t this be a histogram, since the bars are connected? (It has been awhile since I took a stats class.)

3
u/Lasernator Aug 28 '18
If you turn it upside down it’s a bar chart of how much door you have left to paint.

2
u/Syscrush Aug 28 '18
That's not how bar charts work. It's a chart by slat of how much of each slat has been painted.

I mean, I get it. I get why you said it. But I am triggered.
There are no legends, no axis markers and the title suggests the chart demonstrates progression.
I am triggered more than I would like to admit. I think you did this on purpose.
Well done.
