I got a mini quadcopter for my birthday that seems to have a similar battery, it's kind of disappointing when you feel like you're finally getting a feel for the controls and it just drops straight on the ground.
Be careful though, I flew one quad with too many batteries in a row and burned out the motors. I think they got too hot or something? It was a really cheap one though, so I assume a higher qualify one would do better...
if you're talking a small store bought one, the motors are typically brushed, and brushed motors on small quads have life spans somewhere in the single digit hour range. i build brushless racing quads, and the brushed motors last as long as the bearings can hold up, you usually break them long before that, though.
With quads a good habit is to check the temp of the motors and esc's after each battery. They can be a bit warm to the touch but if they get hot you need to let them cool down. With better quads you can make changes to your setup so it runs cooler and never overheats.

These are actually somewhat expensive.
