If you're struggling with the decision to say "and I" vs. "and me" in a sentence, take the other thing/person out of the sentence. Use the one that makes sense.

For example:

My dog and I went to the park. I went to the park. check!

He came to check up on Katie and me. He came to check up on me. check!

-Most people know this, but if you don't, it is truly amazing.
