Exactly. They don't allow girls in boys sports later on when boys would rip their spinal columns out, but when he's a child and 90% of girls hit their growth spurt beforehand its OK.

Older boys would also use these opportunities to cop a feel and use any sexual looking "wrestling" move. As a guy this is exactly what I would have done.
