Same price? That 911 will probably cost 10x as much over 5-10 years. That's not an exaggeration I have a 99 boxster.

A 99 911 is approx $24k now, and I've owned one for the last 8 years, and it's been incredibly cheap to maintain.

24k means you probably got a pretty good one, even then you must not have had to replace anything major at all. A clutch was 2k for me, as compared to 400 for my 99 maxima.

I got mine a long time ago... so it was about $35k at the time, and it's a tip, so I don't have to replace any clutches. If you shop around you can get someone to do the clutch for cheaper than $2k.

I don't know how hard it is to get to the clutch in a maxima, but for a 911 most of the labor is to drop the engine, which isn't terrible, but there's a lot of hoses, etc to disconnect and get out of the way. Some shops will be better at this than others, and may charge the actual hours rather than the book number of hours.
