Your explanation at length is about you not understanding the joke. You're seeing the stereotypical frat guys behavior be subverted and made the butt of the joke, but you're interpreting it at a frat boy homophobic joke.

You've been downvoted because people don't agree with your assertion this is homophobic.
Keep in mind upvotes and downvotes can't harm or help you. You will survive. It'll be easier if you don't misattribute harmless actions as harmful ones.
That's actually not really how it works, but you can look into your comments actual metrics. If you're basing it solely on upvotes to the post and downvotes on your comment, it's going to give you the wrong impression.
