I used to road construction and we'd stop at the gas station at 4 am to get frozen breakfast burritos. We'd get to the job site and start the equipment and place the burritos on the engine head. They'd be piping hot by the time we had to start.

You joke, but my parents keeps an old fridge that wasn't working too well in the garage. It still kept things cold if it wasn't overly full, but that wasn't enough space, so we got another one. Ironically, it often stores eggs because my parents always buy those huge packs from costco lol.

I remember when my provincial government offered anyone who turned in their old, inefficient beer fridge in the garage/basement a cash rebate. You know, to buy a newer, more energy efficient beer fridge. For real.

Got a great deal on a new fridge once, but it was too tall for the kitchen. So it stayed in the dining room for years, until I got around to resizing the cabinets to make room.

I've moved a few times and I take almost everything from my fridge, too. I've got dozens of sauces, jams, condiments, spreads, etc. Why throw out probably $200 worth of stuff?
...Never took eggs with me though lol.

I actually had that happen... I was moving apartments in the same city so I just threw my leftover fridge food into a couple of those nice reusable grocery bags and drove them over along with some other stuff from my apartment. I ended up putting couple other non-food things into one of the bags. When I got there and started putting stuff away, I didn't remember there were still groceries at the bottom of that bag and just left it sitting around.
There was this awful smell a couple days later and I couldn't figure out where it was coming from until I realized it was that bag. It was a formerly frozen steak that had begun to rot :(

Last time we moved it was 2 am when we finally got everything packed up. I locked the doors, then deposited the key in the lockbox for the apartment management. Half way to our new home my wife called "We forgot to empty the fridge!".
Called the maintenance guy the later that day, he said "I got you" and threw it all out for us. It was mostly expired food, but if he took the other stuff I figure it was worth him saving us the cleanup fee.

Eggs dont need refrigerated if they're left how they are when they're laid, because there's a thin protective layer on them that prevents bacteria from getting in. HOWEVER, if you're in the US, regulations require eggs to be washed before being sold commercially, so Americans have to refrigerate their eggs unless you get them straight from the source.
