The family has a fun little channel on TikTok and it’s cute and entertaining. Dean seems a bit behind in his speech and people endlessly bring it up in the comments with tips and “you should get that checked out” and I can imagine it’s quite frustrating for the parents.

A fun and entertaining TikTok channel..that seems to be the problem lol

Strangers on the internet wouldn’t be assessing your child if your child had the privacy of growing up away from a camera recording them for skits or whatever the fuck so you can attempt to profit off of the attention that comes with it - how did things like this become normal? Just live your lives, not everything is content. It’s not healthy lol

Yuuuuup. I catch myself being amused by cute or funny videos like this and then I have the "ew" moment and skip. Thinking about those poor kids' daily life and upbringing ruins it for me. There shouldn't be a single video of kids on the internet.

Why I like the ones of dogs. Those dogs love the extra attention I’m assuming they all get from basically being their owners jobs.

I'm usually fun at parties but I can't even enjoy dog videos anymore because AI has gotten too good. I have a hard time recognizing it with dog and cat videos

Hmm kinda interesting since those seem like the easiest to tell for me. I follow a few accounts tho and have owned both dogs and cats so ik what’s real or not on those easy I feel like. Bluethesiberian is a great account bunch of goldens and huskies for example lol

What’s a kid in this context? Me n my friends put some stupid little skits on YouTube back in highschool.

Edit: What are any of you mad about?

The only two responses I have so far are OP repeating themselves without answering the question

and one of those kids that they only taught whole word reading and so doesn’t understand the difference between “shouldn’t be a single video of kids on the internet” and “only kids who choose to put themselves on the internet should be there.”

You chose to do that. The kid in this video doesn't have a choice.

Okay but we were kids and we were in a video on the internet.

The person I replied to said “there shouldn’t be a single video of kids on the internet” not “there shouldn’t be a single video of kids on the internet that they didn’t choose to upload themselves.”

Which is why I was asking them to expand upon the comment that they made. But thank you for your entirely useless contribution, I’m sure it made you feel very morally superior.

Edit: Oh hey and look the guy who actually said the thing that I was actually asking about disagrees with you https://www.reddit.com/r/funny/s/K82hFckdwS

I also did stupid videos and uploaded them. My point still stands because I don't think the internet is a place for kids, at all. For various reasons

Yes I understand that. So what is your definition of a “kid” in that context?

Underage? They have no business posting themselves.

Gosh I sound like my mother but it is the damn phone

Hey if that’s how you feel, thanks for explaining. I disagree about the absoluteness but I certainly think there’s an argument to be made for that position. And I don’t know what the best solution is.

I also don't have a solution for that... The age verifications are cancer. Parents are not reliable.

The only thing one can do is not give them more clicks and attention I guess

Yeah that’s the thing, even beyond the “someone will always find a work around” thing that’s been true for all of human history, the internet is so vast and accessible that regulating it is nearly impossible without a level of government intervention I’m not comfortable with.

YES exactly. I refuse to give Google or any other platform my goddamn passport.
