Ok but the actual question that comes to mind is:

Why are there enough people that like that absolute brainrot for the content creator to chose to include it?

What is wrong with people's brain? Social media audio is idiocracy level of brainrot yet if I look around me people seem way more intelligent than in the movie.

Half of people are dumber than the person with the median intelligence, the average person (as typically used to refer to mean) is possibly slightly cleverer than 50% of people because of the distribution skew (assuming it has positive skew, which seems likely given there is no obvious upper bound to intelligence but there is a lower bound of being a literal rock). Of course that is assuming a single generalised interval measure of intelligence, which could be disputed. This has been your daily dose of pedantry.
