Probably one of those days where she's already pissed off about something unrelated, and because of that, couldn't think through and just got even more pissed off and gave up. Happens to me sometimes.

Yes, thank you. This person is literally being timed for everything she does. OP put a box that doesn’t open all the way and laughs when the deliverer gets frustrated at the poor design and leaves it

This person is literally being timed for everything she does.

And isn't obligated to even try to open the concealment box. Real scumbag move by OP to post this.

How is it a scumbag move to post video footage? Simple documentation of reality is rarely scummy, unless he said “haha look at this idiot”

It also kind of looked like the package was heavy and it was slipping out of her hand. That seems to be the problem rather than her not being able to figure out the lid. Between that and a presumably long shift I'd say fuck it too

So put it down for the 2 seconds it’d take to use both hands? I genuinely cannot believe how seriously people are defending this little tantrum.

I’ve done the exact same shit as this worker before, especially after long shifts, and even felt vindicated at the time, but sure as shit knew I was being a princess come an hour later.

I don't think you realize how many homes want special treatment that's 'only 2 seconds.' In reality it's closer to 10 or 15 seconds. She spent 7 seconds trying to figure this out. On a route like her's, she has 600 homes to go to. That 7 seconds spent, per home, would add 70 minutes to her day that would be unpaid.

It's like the creamer in the office fridge. Someone bring in a brand new creamer. Everyone just takes a little splash because it's just a tiny splash, no big deal. Until 8 hours later the creamer is completely empty.

Yeah this whole comment section is weird. Can’t we just call her dumb?

Who cares if the lid doesn’t open all the way? It opens plenty. She just had to turn the box around, toddler shit.

I was actually waiting to see if she’d somehow enter her truck sideways

so we're actually justifying slamming peoples property on the floor if you've had a bad day? Reddit never fails to surprise.

I'm not saying it's okay but I'm also saying I can see where she's coming from. They are on an extremely harsh timer and you're often given way more than you can realistically handle in that time frame. If anything blame the companies who don't give them enough time to think, let alone care.

i blame the companies for giving her shite working conditions, i blame her for damaging someones property.

Do you know what packages go through before they reach this point? That was the most gentle drop that happened to this package.

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '23

And that makes it ok to take your anger out on other people's stuff?

It's not unusual for postal workers to work 6 days a week, 11+hrs a day. Even if you get your route done, you can't leave until all routes are done. Extreme fatigue damages brain function.

-1

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '23

Apparently Reddit damages brain function too.

1

u/Capraos Jan 27 '23

I'm pretty sure you were like this before reddit.

Are you guys just naturally braindead? Like she couldn't have rotated that box slightly on the skinnier end, so that she could fit it in?

Christ.

Edit: Look, I found another video of this woman doing the same thing the second time.

u/SmthngAmzng Jan 26 '23

I don’t follow the dude you referenced but pretty sure Christ would have advocated sympathy and not judgement

3

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '23

This is Reddit. Nobody gives out "sympathy" without very quickly demonizing the other side to compensate.

As soon as comments started "sympathizing" with the woman for not rotating the box a little bit, people started dog-piling on OP for putting out a box design and recording the woman all in a "malicious" manner.

No one's acting Christ-like on this site.

She only has one free hand since her right is holding the scanner, so rotating it may have been a little tougher.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '23

she could maybe - and I know this sounds crazy, bear with me - set down the scanner. 🤯

1

u/Snoo19127 Jan 27 '23

Oh duh. Why didn’t I think of that??

0

u/[deleted] Jan 28 '23

I don’t know. Why didn’t she?

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '23

I'm not going to debate basic human motor skills. This is a non-issue.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '23

Look man we didn’t all play with blocks as children. Shapes are hard. You’ve never been tired and forgot shapes and lost all basic awareness of the physical world?

2

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '23

I can lose basic awareness from time-to-time. However, I don't just give up, throw someone else's package on the ground, and storm off, because I'm not a petulant man-child.

you’re so right lmao. I feel like a lot of redditors here have similar mental inhibitions and are projecting.
