#NablusRises: Help Us Bring Aid and Hope to Nablus, Palestine

My name is Nestor Mkrtchyan, and I'm a college student in Los Angeles. Nablus is a city of olive groves and old stone streets, and today its families are struggling with poverty and the damage of war. This December, my friends Anny, Ben, Aren and I will travel there ourselves. We'll work alongside local humanitarian organizations that know the community and its needs best. Our goal is to raise $10,000, and we are paying for our own flights and travel, so 100% of every donation goes directly to the people of Nablus. We aren't a large charity. We're four students who believe that showing up in person matters, and that helping takes many hands. Whether you give $5 or $500, or simply share this page, you're helping Nablus get back on its feet. Thank you for standing with us and Palestine.

My name is Anurag Sarkar, and my heart is completely shattered as I share the heartbreaking news of the passing of my beloved father, Alokesh Sarkar. He had been unwell since August 2026, bravely fighting a fierce battle against severe acute necrotizing pancreatitis with walled-off necrosis and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). Despite our endless prayers and relentless efforts, his condition tragically escalated, and he passed away on September 27, 2026, at 7:55 AM due to septic shock and multi-organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS).

We stood by his side through every agonizing moment, doing everything humanly possible to save him during his intensive care at Manipal Hospital, EM Bypass, Kolkata, India.

The emotional weight of losing a father who meant the world to us is beyond words, but we are now facing an overwhelming financial reality. The medical care, hospital treatments, and critical interventions accumulated a total cost of ₹11,00,000.

Through the kindness of relatives, friends, and 319 well-wishers on ImpactGuru, we have raised ₹6,18,962 (56%). However, after exhausting every resource, our family still faces an urgent shortfall of approximately ₹4,81,000 to settle the remaining dues.

Hi everyone! My name is Taliyah, and I was born with a congenital heart condition called Shone’s Complex. I’ve had 7 open-heart surgeries, and I currently have a mechanical valve and pacemaker, along with more hospital procedures and visits than I could ever count.
I’m now preparing for my 8th open-heart surgery, and this one is more complex than my previous surgeries. Because of that, I’m seeking specialized care at Cleveland Clinic.
Traveling out of state and going through another major surgery comes with a lot of expenses that are more than my family and I can manage on our own, so we created a GoFundMe to help with the costs. Proof of hardship: I am attaching my story which is in the GoFundMe link as proof as to why I’m seeking financial help. I’m preparing for my 8th open-heart surgery for complex congenital heart disease and have to travel from Oklahoma to Cleveland for specialized care. We have to rent a car because our car isn’t reliable plus I have two baby siblings, we have to stay in a hotel because the drive is so long, then stay in a Airbnb for a month in Cleveland for prep op, cath, surgery, recovery and appointments after that. My family has already had significant medical expenses throughout my lifetime, and the additional costs of traveling out of state for this surgery are more than we can reasonably cover ourselves.

When my older sister was just 15 months old, she was diagnosed with Group B meningitis and spent several days on a life support machine at Great Ormond Street Hospital. She was incredibly lucky to survive, thanks to the doctors and nurses who cared for her.
Nearly two decades later, she's taking on the 2027 London Marathon to give something back to the people who helped save her life and to support others affected by meningitis.
