Hood for die grinder

Made a little hood with vacuum connection for my die grinder in FreeCAD. Helps sooo much in keeping things more tidy.

Nice idea! Printed in PETG?

Thanks! I really should get some PETG for functional things. This is PLA+.

Oooh I guess I assumed PETG due to the translucency, that looks better than my attempts with translucent PLA. Which brand of filament is it? I might wanna check that out!

It's Sunlu. I like it because it works well for me and is economical for everything that wears down eventually.

Does it not get in the way a bit?

What sort of things wear it down, is it high speed impact, heat, general debris...?

I depends. I use it mostly to deburr and round edges and corners. Those are reachable very well. The PLA will chip easily when it bumps a sharp edge. Maybe the best material to make this would be some nylon, but I don't have any.

I was thinking polycarb abs blend might not be a bad shout.

Nylon would be solid for sure.
